Himachal Pradesh Rain News

Himachal Pradesh Rains: According to the locals, the threat that the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) originally caused by utilizing illogical methods to remove hills has been made worse by the ongoing severe rains.

"The land started to sink around three years ago, when the NHAI, in spite of our opposition, started widening the roadway and chopping down the hills in an improper manner. Since then, the entire mountain above the road has been gradually sinking.

Residents of the hamlet are being forced to leave because of the vast fissures in the land, houses, and buildings, according to Aut panchayat pradhan Bhushan Verma, who also filed a complaint against NHAI with the Himachal Pradesh high court.

Himachal Pradesh's rainfall has caused houses and ground to sink in another Mandi village.

Another village in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district was evacuated after houses there developed cracks as a result of ground subsidence and the imminent prospect of a "Anni-like collapse". About 120 people of Thalout village, which is located on the Chandigarh-Manali national highway in the district's Aut panchayat, have left their homes and moved into rented apartments or with family members who live nearby.

A landslide risk has been created on the mountain behind Thalout by fractures that have emerged, making 34 homes insecure due to breaches in the walls, floors, and courtyards.

Himachal Pradesh Rain News: "I have visited my constituency in light of the significant damage caused by the state's extreme rains. Today a two-story school building fell, and due to fissures practically all homes are now insecure. Six people's lives had been lost in one day, according to the former HP CM.
